We are happy to announce the first steps in a journey that aims to anchor Edtech application in classrooms across South Africa. We have begun with school engagements introducing Edtech into classrooms at 3 schools in Cape Town. Cedar Primary, Hermes Primary & Marconi Beam Primary all welcomed us into their schools. Digital Springboard facilitated 98 educators sharing the fundamentals of technology in education through the application of Edtech wrap around services.

These sessions included conversations about classroom resources and the desire to ensure that technology solutions are accepted as an extension of the teachers. The sponsored initiative guides each school to select 2 to 3 teachers who will apply the digital content in core curriculum lesson plans and provide feedback. The digital content ranges from Grade 1 – 7 specialising in Maths, Natural Science and English curriculum aligned lessons. This was well received as the facilitators and educators from all schools connected through the desire to uplift education in the community; and the opportunity to empower learners.

Our introduction in Cape Town was the first of many. We would like to thank Cedar Primary, Hermes Primary & Marconi Beam Primary schools for their time and support with a special thank you to the Principals who lead the way. Digital Springboard works with donors and sponsors to support Edtech integration into classrooms and would like to thank the Mwabu Education Group for the digital content sponsorship.
